WOBURN ELECTRICAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP and INSTRUCTOR BIO

Kim L. Clark is a certified strategic plan facilitator, strategic marketing and branding specialist and trainer in the sales process. Kim is the founder and principal partner of Polished Professionals Boston, a business development consulting firm. Prior to establishing her business, Kim acquired 15+ years of experience in the corporate realm by holding various sales and marketing positions within Fortune 100 companies. Kim has presented seminars and workshops for the Boston Chamber of Commerce, the Center for Women & Enterprise, Lesley University and the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center.

Course Outline

Here is a 3 part interactive lecture and discussion workshop that will give you valuable insights into the reality of going into business for yourself. Learn to ask yourself the right questions and seek out information that will help you to distinguish between an idea and an opportunity.

SESSION I

Clarify your business concept, describe the services to be offered, identify potential target markets and recognize the business environment in which you’ll operate.

SESSION II

Take a closer look at market realities. Identify likely competitors; consider a niche for your services and methods to keep the customer pipeline filled.

SESSION III

Examine the financial requirements of your proposed business. Estimate start-up costs, draft an income statement, weigh business financing options and consider your exit strategy.
