Classes Offered

  Mandatory Code for  - A, B, C, D License
Tuesday Evenings 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The ideal 15 hour program for the busy electrician. Begin any time during the cycle, take all five nights in any convenient order. Pre-registration and prepayment are necessary, group rates are available.
 
 

Journeyman
Tuesday & Thursday Evenings 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Books Required: NEC 2008 & NFPA-72
These courses are part of a multi-year program offered to all students who require 600 hours in order to qualify to apply for the Electrician's Examinations.

600 Hour Course Candidates may elect to take a 600 hour modular course or a non-modular course as a prerequisite to sit for the Journeyman Exam.

 
  Masters - 150 Hours
Monday & Thursday Evenings 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Books Required: NEC 2008, NFPA-72, Holts Exam Prep, Business Contractor Manual & CFR 29.
This is a review course for licensed electricians preparing for their Masters examination. Review of problem solving, calculations, motors, transformer and electrical code, fire alarm code, Mass regulations, business practices & code federal regulations.
 
  Systems Contractor (C License) - 75 Hours
Monday & Wednesday Evenings 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Books Required: NEC 2008, NFPA-72, Business Contractor Manual & CFR 29.
Offered to all students who require 75 hours in order to qualify to apply for the Systems Contractor Examinations. Classes are to be paid in full by the 7th week.
 
  Systems Technician (D License) - 300 Hours
Monday & Wednesday Evenings 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Books Required: NEC 2008, NFPA-72
Multi-year program offered to all students who require 300 hours in order to qualify to apply for the Systems Technician Examinations.
 
 

Alarm Fire Control (75 Hours)
Monday & Wednesday Evenings 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Books Required: NFPA-72
An integral part of C & D classes. Control wiring for fire alarm system, residential and commercial, schematic drawing reading. From Basic to Programmable.

 
  Print Reading
Monday & Wednesday Evenings 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Books Required: NEC 2005 & NFPA-72
150 hour class is how print reading relates to the required codes. This is an integral module of the 300/600 hour programs.
 
 

Exam Preparation (75 Hours)
Tuesday & Thursday Evenings 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Books Required: NFPA-72, NEC 2008, and Exam Prep Workbook.
Examinations are 14 weeks, tuition must be paid in full by 7th week.

 
 

Code Mandatory
Tuesday Evenings 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
A - Master Electrician and                 B - Journeyman Electrician
Change in the latest Massachusetts Electrical Code and National Electrical Code. To satisfy continuous education for Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine Licensing.

Also for C & D in Massachusetts - includes Security and Access Control, NFPA-72, and Fire Alarm.
Additional 6 hours can be achieved through other courses.
